Research
I study aerodynamics and vortex dynamics, with diverse applications in renewable energy, unmanned vehicles, and biology. I’m particularly interested in biomimetics in fluid mechanics: the application of biological insights to engineering problems.
Education
In my experience teaching at both Queen’s University and the University of Alberta, I’ve developed tools for my courses to help engage students and bring hands-on experiences to the classroom.
Outreach and Aviation Heritage
Through my roles in both the academic and not-for-profit sectors, I’m committed to preserving and sharing Alberta’s and Canada’s aviation heritage, and to promote aviation and STEM among the next generation.
